Your first step is to register with market research firms. These market research firms, also known as paid survey companies, are free to join and earn money with. Once you join you will need to confirm your membership via email, usually through an “activation link”. Once your membership is confirmed you will be prompted to fill out “profile” surveys. These profile surveys are usually not paid surveys, however they are important to do so that the paid survey companies will know what kinds of surveys to send you based on your profile and interests. So be sure to get all available profile surveys completed as soon you join. After you have completed your registration the next step is to just watch your email for survey invitations!
How Long Does It Take to Complete a Paid Survey?
It varies. Some surveys may only take a few mintues to complete whereas others can take up to an hour or more to do. Each survey invitation will indicate how long the survey will take before you begin, that way you can set aside time beforehand to fully complete the survey. You are never under any obligation to complete any particular survey, so you can pick and choose the ones that fit into your schedule in any given day. You can also take surveys when it is convenient for you, and you are not required to take them at any certain time of the day. Just remember though that survey panels have quotas that may fill up fast, so try to take the survey as soon as you can so you don’t miss your chance to participate.
How Much Do Paid Surveys Pay?
This also varies. Some surveys may only enter you into a contest, whereas with other surveys you may get paid up to $50 or more just for participating. However, don’t expect to make $50 every time you take a survey. It is important to understand that you may not always fit the demographics of a particular survey. From a realistic standpoint you should expect to earn about $1 to $5 on average each time you participate. Also, you may receive free products or services as well. I have received many free things over the years! Also, here is a tip – the more surveys you participate in and give your honest feedback to, the more survey invitations you will receive. Why? Because this shows your dedication and the paid survey companies will reward you for being a loyal survey taker – in fact, they might also recommend you to other paid survey companies as someone who is a valuable panelist to have on board! So be consistent and honest and it will pay off. If you join several survey companies and consistently take surveys you can expect to earn anywhere from $50 to $300 (or sometimes more) per month. You can also significantly increase your earnings by referring others. Each company that you register with will give you instructions and tips on how to get referrals.
