Independent transcriber contractors who work for Mountain West Processing are paid per minute of transcribed audio, not per minute actually worked. Rates vary according to experience and type of transcription. Evaluations are conducted regularly to offer higher pay rates.

Mountain West Processing offers a “no fee” work at home transcriber opportunity. This means that Mountain West Processing doesn’t charge a fee to work for them. However, this is an independent contractor position which means that each work from home transcriber is responsible for covering the costs associated with running a work at home business.
